Remote Work Policy

FOGS Consultants supports flexible and remote working arrangements where operationally feasible. This policy sets out our standards and expectations for all team members working remotely.

1 Eligibility & Approval

Remote work arrangements are available to employees whose job responsibilities can be effectively performed outside the office without compromising service quality, team collaboration, or client deliverables.

  • Role suitability: Tasks that require minimal on-site presence or physical interaction
  • Performance history: Consistent performance and reliability
  • Manager discretion: Approval from department head and HR

Employees may request a hybrid or fully remote schedule. Each request is reviewed individually, considering operational needs across our UK and India service locations.

2 Work Hours & Availability

Remote employees are expected to adhere to their regular work schedule. Core collaboration hours are 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM IST / 09:30 AM – 3:30 PM GMT, Monday through Friday.

  • Attendance for virtual team meetings is mandatory
  • Overtime must be pre-approved by the reporting manager
  • Flexible start/end times may be arranged with prior agreement

3 Workspace & Equipment

FOGS Consultants provides a laptop and necessary software. Employees are responsible for maintaining a safe, ergonomic, and professional workspace.

  • High-speed internet (minimum 30 Mbps) is required
  • Employees must ensure a quiet, distraction-free environment during client calls
  • All company equipment remains property of FOGS Consultants

4 Data Security & Confidentiality

Working remotely requires strict adherence to our Information Security Policy. Key requirements include:

  • Use of VPN when accessing internal systems
  • Prohibition of public Wi-Fi for work-related activities
  • Physical security: devices must be locked when unattended
  • Client data must never be stored on personal devices or cloud accounts

5 Communication & Collaboration

We maintain transparency through daily stand-ups, weekly one-on-one check-ins, and monthly virtual townhalls. Remote employees are encouraged to use video for meetings.

6 Performance & Accountability

Remote work does not alter performance expectations. Goals, KPIs, and reviews remain consistent. Managers may revoke remote privileges if performance declines or policy violations occur.

7 Travel to Office

Employees may be required to visit the office or client sites for key meetings, training, or team events. Travel expenses will be reimbursed per company policy.

8 Policy Compliance

Violation of this policy may result in disciplinary action, including termination of remote work arrangement or employment. For questions, contact hr@fogsconsultants.com.
